Frequently Asked Questions – POA Mobile Notary Service

What does the $45 fee include?
The flat fee of $45 covers everything you need for a smooth and professional notarization experience. This includes:

  • Notarization of up to two Power of Attorney (POA) documents — one for Health Care and one for Property — ensuring each form is completed accurately and in full compliance with Illinois law.
(Includes two official notary seals – one for each document)
    Value: $10

  • A 30-minute Comprehensive POA Explanation & Assistance session, where I walk you through your forms, answer your questions, and provide clarity to help you make informed decisions.
    Value: $35

Is this legal advice?

No. I am not an attorney, and this service does not include legal advice. The 30-minute session is an educational walkthrough designed to help you understand the general purpose of the Illinois Power of Attorney forms, answer common questions, and guide you through completing your documents correctly for notarization.

If you have legal questions about your specific situation — such as choosing an agent, handling property rights, or creating custom provisions — you should speak with a licensed attorney. My role is to support your understanding and ensure the notarization process is completed accurately and professionally in compliance with Illinois notary law.

Do I need to bring anything to the appointment?
Yes. Please have a valid, unexpired photo ID (state ID, driver’s license, or passport). You’ll also need your completed POA forms (Illinois Statutory POA for Health Care and/or Property), though I can guide you through final steps if you need assistance before signing.

Do you provide witnesses?
No, witness coordination is not included in this service. If your documents require witnesses, please ensure they are present and meet Illinois legal requirements (18 or older and not a named agent or immediate family member).

How long is the appointment?
Each session is scheduled for 30 minutes. This allows time for review, education, and proper notarization without rushing the process.

Is payment required in advance?
Yes, payment is due at the time of booking. This secures your appointment and allows me to reserve time specifically for your session.

What is your refund policy?
Appointments canceled at least 24 hours in advance are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice are non-refundable. If I am unable to complete the notarization due to missing identification or improper documents, the service fee will not be refunded. However, I will work with you to reschedule when appropriate.

Are you a licensed notary?
Yes. I am a commissioned Illinois notary public and operate in full compliance with state law.

Where do you travel?
Mobile appointments are available in the Cook County, Illinois (Chicago area and surrounding suburbs). If you’re unsure whether your location is included, feel free to inquire before booking.

What if I have more than two documents?
The base service includes notarization for two POA documents. Additional documents can be accommodated for a small additional fee—please inquire in advance so I can plan accordingly.
